Janet Muir is the Director of the Procurement and Financial Management Division (PFM) at IFAD. In this role, she leads the division’s work to ensure a robust fiduciary system across IFAD operations, identifying and mitigating risks through rigorous processes and controls to ensure project compliance and delivery of operations.

Janet has over 20 years of senior leadership experience in international development and higher education, previously serving as Director of Finance & IT and Chair of Risk Committee at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) in Cairo, Egypt and Director of Finance at the Global Crop Diversity Trust in Bonn, Germany. Her previous experience also includes over a decade working with the University of Dublin, Trinity College and as a senior auditor with EY Ireland.

Janet serves as a Board Trustee and on the Finance and Audit Committees of VSO International, Vita Impact and the Sustainable Nitrogen Foundation.
