A CROSS-CULTURAL REVOLUTION
A place where technology merges with innovation and sustainability: the new space renaissance starts from Italy.
As a spin-off of the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability, MOBIUS Space Lab will bring space mindset and cutting-edge technologies into other sectors creating a cross-cultural revolution enabling humans to become an interplanetary species.
The Möbius strip is the simplest non-orientable surface, it fulfills the double paradox of being a single-sided strip and having only one edge: a two-dimensional object that has sneaked into our three-dimensional world.
In this context, EIIS brings the perfect combination providing the best environment.
With the primary goal of innovation for sustainability, and connecting sustainable minds as a motto, MOBIUS Space Lab aims towards space with a careful watch over spaceship Earth.
This Möbius Lab activity focuses on giving lectures and motivational speeches inside schools and universities. Through online courses, such as astrophotography, and first-hand experiences, the Lab aims to bring young people closer to space issues.
This area explores new technologies and procedures for advancements in space, such as augmented reality for astronaut training.
The Research activity aims to find possible capabilities in the space sector by constantly testing new technologies. This can also be done in collaboration with universities, first of all through simple student thesis work.
This area aims to facilitate cross-cultural fertilization between non-space companies and space ones, enabling an overall access to space technologies. The Workshops activity achieves this in two different ways:
Organizing workshops with companies;
Creating working groups by contacting companies and carrying out projects in collaboration with them.
The output of this activity is the creation of new products and events that contaminate areas that seem so far from the space sector, such as fashion and household items.
