Daniel Muoki is an exceedingly dedicated and committed professional with over 26 years of diverse experience in Research, Design, Planning, Development and Management in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality, Environment and Business Events. Born 46 years ago, Daniel is highly exposed person with concrete knowledge and experience of Kenya’s tourism and hospitality through practical interaction over these years.
Daniel is a career tourism and hospitality professional and accomplished Researcher having studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism from Moi University and later pursued an MBA in Project Management from Kenyatta University.
Daniel’s post university career engagements have seen him work with Kenya Tourism Board as a Marketing Assistant, Kenyatta International Convention Centre as Research and Product Development Manager and also Head of Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E) where he spearheaded the development of Kenya’s M.I.C.E product and eventually formation of Kenya National Convention Bureau, the body mandated to market Kenya as a preferred business events destination. The latter initiative earned him the title ‘Mr. M.I.C.E’ within the sector circles. At Tourism Regulatory Authority as a Hotel and Restaurant Assessor for classification, and various special assignments at Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife HQ.
Currently, Daniel is a Private Consultant in the areas of Tourism, Hospitality, Business events and Environment based in Both Nairobi and Mombasa.
Daniel’s vision for the Tourism Professional Association is to transform TPA to a Vibrant ThinkTank that can influence and advise tourism and hospitality policy in Kenya, the region and beyond.
