Diana Lenzi
Former President - CEJA (The Organization of European Young Farmers)
Born and raised in Rome, Diana Lenzi persued her studies there graduating in Political Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Just after graduation she made the decision to follow her true passion in life and signed up for and graduated first of her class from the culinary school of the Gambero Rosso in Rome. After a few years working in various famous and awarded restaurants in Rome, for love and necessity, she took over the management of Fattoria di Petroio in 2008. Following her mother’s motto: “learn as you go” she threw herself heart and soul, or actually hands in the cellar and head in the books, into the business of running a Wine Estate. She follows and directs, with great passion and energy, all phases of the production both commercially and promotionally, in the vineyards and the cellars. Working diligently to bring Petroio to even higher levels of excellence while ever respecting its history and traditions, she desires to share with the world a authentic high quality traditional and territorial Chianti Classico. Diana has been involved and active in Confagricoltura (ANGA) since 2012, when she founded the section for Siena of which she was President for 6 years. Since then she has been President at the regional level and Vice-President at the national level from 2015 to 2019. Following that she became ANGA delegate for CEJA, targeting her experience at EU level. From June 2021 to June 2023 she has been President of CEJA, concentrating her mandate on a young farmer led transition to sustainable agriculture.
