Sergio Barbaro

Lawyer. Expert on Comparative Law and Sustainable Development Law

Sergio Barbaro is a civil litigation lawyer and researcher in Comparative Private Law. He serves as Coordinator of the Academic Extension Office and Sophia Web Academy at the Sophia University Institute (Figline and Incisa Valdarno, FI), where he also lectures in Comparative Legal Systems and Comparative Law of New Technologies and Sustainable Development.
He holds a PhD in Private Law and New Technologies from the University of Bari (UNIBA), where he also teaches Private Law. His legal advisory work focuses on privacy, intellectual property rights, migration, and human rights.
His research spans a wide range of interests, including comparative legal systems, civil and private law, real estate law, indigenous property rights, commons, emerging technologies, privacy and AI, intellectual property, and migration law.
