As part of the Innovation department at Ørsted, global leader in offshore wind and one of the most sustainable companies in the world, Alberto leads transformational projects and is responsible for influencing and executing Ørsted’s innovation strategy, with a strong focus on flexible demand and system integration of renewable energy. His daily work involves developing novel offerings and incubate strategic growth initiatives within Power-to-X, storage and flexible demand, at the interface of customer development, business model design and product development.
Before joining Ørsted, Alberto worked for 7 years in consultancy, supporting governments, utilities and system operators in Asia, Africa and Europe. He helped clients developing renewable energy and decarbonization strategies, with a strong focus on integration of wind and solar in the power markets and energy system. Alberto holds two masters in Electrical Engineering and Sustainable Energy and is currently based in Copenhagen. He is a regular speaker, censor and external lecturer at Technical University of Denmark.
