Edoardo Borgomeo
Associate Professor of Water Engineering - University of Cambridge
Edoardo is the Associate Professor of Water Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His work focuses on water resources management, climate change adaptation, and water infrastructure planning. Prior to joining Cambridge, Edoardo was staff of the World Bank, working on national water resources management projects and dialogue over international waters. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked at the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome and at the International Water Management Institute in Sri Lanka. Edoardo has worked on water resources management projects across sub-Saharan Africa (Ethiopia, South Sudan); Central Asia (Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan) South Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka); Middle East (Egypt, Jordan) and Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru) and continues to advise international agencies and the private sector on water planning and policy. In 2018, he was awarded the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water for his research work on water resources planning in times of climate change.
