Lydia Brearley
Founder – Enkel Consulting & The Sustainable Fashion School
Sustainable fashion consultant and educator with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She spent 20 years as a global fashion buyer for leading brands, sourcing across multiple product categories and working with both large-scale manufacturers and small artisan producers worldwide.
After spending years travelling the world on sourcing trips and visiting factories, Lydia had the opportunity to live and work in China, the world’s largest hub for textiles and apparel. This experience opened her eyes and shifted her focus to sustainable fashion, having gained first-hand insight into the industry’s environmental and social impacts. This experience set her on a mission to use her expertise and passion to drive meaningful change, and she went on to found Enkel Consulting and Sustainable Fashion School to support this vision.
Today, Lydia is recognised as a leading industry voice, helping brands prepare for emerging legislation, implement circular strategies, and embed sustainability into core business models.Sustainable fashion consultant and educator with more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
