Ruth MacGilp is a freelance writer and communications professional, currently leading fashion campaigns Action Speaks Louder, a non-profit organisation working to hold companies accountable for their climate promises in order to accelerate the global green energy transition. Over the past 10 years, she has been writing about the intersection of fashion, environment and labour rights, collaborating with purpose-driven brands, and co-hosting the award-winning podcast Common Threads. She is passionate about connecting people with the rich stories behind clothing and textiles throughout the supply chain, and in particular, exploring how fashion can unlock systemic change for social and climate justice.
