Stefan Veljanovski serves as Associate Faculty in the Economics Department at Indiana University Northwest. He is a seasoned public policy expert and educator with over 12 years of experience in economic analysis, policy development, and academic research. His expertise spans renewable energy, economic growth, and public policy initiatives, with a proven record of informing academic and governmental decision-making.
Previously, Stefan held leadership roles such as Director of Graduate Studies at Indiana University Northwest, where he implemented innovative strategies to enhance student engagement, retention, and program visibility. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his role as the founder and general manager of Road Smart Transports LLC, a logistics company in the United States.
An advocate for sustainability, Stefan has contributed significantly to initiatives addressing renewable energy and economic impacts, publishing research and presenting at international forums. His leadership skills were enhanced through prestigious fellowships, including those at the President Ivanov School for Young Leaders and President Pendarovski School for Policies in Macedonia, where he collaborated on impactful governance and environmental projects.
Stefan holds a PhD in Economics, multiple master’s degrees, including an MBA from Indiana University and an MPP from the London School of Economics and Political Science as a Chevening Scholar. He has further credentials from Harvard Kennedy School, the University of Nottingham, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
