Head of APRA Secretariat - Danish Energy Agency
Aisma Vitina is the Head of APRA Secretariat at the Danish Energy Agency, and leads technical assistance engagements towards APRA member countries with a view to support RE deployment in Africa. The Accelerated Partnership for Renewable Energy in Africa (APRA) is a collaborative initiative between African governments and international stakeholders, aiming to accelerate renewable energy adoption. APRA's primary objectives include mobilising finance, providing technical assistance and capacity building, and engaging the private sector to support renewable energy transitions. Aisma’s prior professional experience includes Lead Regulatory Advisor role with Ørsted, a renewable energy developer, focusing on regulatory framework conditions for offshore wind and infrastructure in the EU context, as well as extensive experience leading international power system modelling and long-term scenario analyses in her prior roles within the Danish Energy Agency, as well as Ea Energy Analyses, an energy consultancy. Aisma has been co-author and contributor to research publications, journal articles and analysis reports, including publications within the auspices of IEA Wind Task 26 – Cost of Wind Energy, the Vietnam Energy Outlook reports, and in the Energy Policy journal. Aisma holds MSc degree in Economics, specializing in Management of Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment, from the Norwegian School of Economics.
