Daria Toschi
Human Rights and Livelihoods Director at Rainforest Alliance
Daria is the Human Rights and Livelihoods Director at the Rainforest Alliance, with over 15 years of experience in Business and Human Rights spanning Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific across both private and non-profit sectors.
In her current role, Daria leads the activation of the Rainforest Alliance’s livelihoods and human rights programs, leveraging her extensive expertise to maximize their impact and drive meaningful change.
She holds a master’s degree in political science and development economics and has worked with multinational companies such as Unilever, The Walt Disney Company, and KPMG Banarra, as well as Griffith University. She has also collaborated with the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO). Daria brings significant experience in developing and implementing ethical standards, policies, programs, and strategies that enhance transparency, mitigate risks, promote sustainability, and advance human rights and livelihoods within complex global supply chains.
Her hands-on experience in the Global South has equipped her to design and deliver long- term solutions for addressing intricate human rights challenges, aligning them with evolving legal frameworks and the realities of modern supply chains.
