Carlotta has been working with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) for over a decade. Since 2014, she has served as Spokesperson for Italy and Southern Europe, and since 2022, she has led the organization's multimedia communications in Geneva.
Holding a PhD in General Theory of Law, she began her humanitarian work in 1997 in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, where she remained until 2002. She has led emergency programs for Save the Children across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and previously served as Executive Director of Amnesty International Italy.
